Application – File Tagging Tool

The File Tagging Tool enables investigators to tag files within a project or specified folder in accordance with RMIP formatting guidelines.

For more information on RMIP file tagging, please visit: RMIP File Tagging Guidance.

Data Lifecycle Stage: This tool is designed to assist with document preparation after data has been uploaded to BDC but prior to formal ingestion.

Inputs: This tool requires:

  • Seven Bridges Developer Token – stored in the investigator’s Secrets Management

  • Project ID – This can be found at the end of a project’s URL in Seven Bridges and should be formatted as: <sb-username>/<project-name-in-sb>

Optional inputs include:

  • Folder Name – If the Folder Name is not specified, this tool will tag the entire project.

Outputs: A file_tagging.log file will be written with the tags given for each file and which files were not tagged due to improper file name formatting.
