The BDC DMC is actively developing apps, as well as identifying existing apps, that will perform the transformation for most of the datatypes in the RMIP data landscape. These apps will produce outputs that follow the standards recommendations and are also compatible with many of the available apps for conducting downstream analysis. Apps include both tools (individual bioinformatics utilities) and workflows (chains or pipelines of connected tools).
