Users can search variables, filter at the variable-value level, and build queries on datasets available on BDC using Open PIC-SURE without logging in. This will allow users to build cohorts and retrieve obfuscated, aggregate counts to discover and explore datasets that can be used for research. Note that to access participant-level data, eRA Commons credentials are required.
The NIH Genomic Data Sharing policy, via its guidance on Genomic Summary Results, encourages minimal barriers to access genomic summary results. Therefore, users will be able to see and query data at the summary level within BDC without an approved Data Access Request (DAR).
