No, the database of Genotypes and Phenotypes (dbGaP) and BDC staff ensure BDC-hosted data are safely available through BDC. Pursuant to NIH policy on the sharing of research data (NOT-OD-03-032) and the NIH Genomic Data Sharing Policy (NOT-OD-14-124 and NOT-OD-19-023), the NHLBI has classified BDC as an NIH-designated repository and therefore a new institutional certification is not needed.
