Hi everyone! My name is Kat and I represent BioData Catalyst powered by Terra on behalf of the Broad Institute. I'm looking forward to getting you all acquainted with the ecosystem as well as learning about your areas of study and how we can best tailor this experience to you :)
Hello! My name is Emily, and I work as a Bioinformatics Systems Analyst at Harvard Medical School. Specifically, I work to represent the BioData Catalyst Powered by PIC-SURE platform on the ecosystem. At this workshop, I'll be demonstrating how to use PIC-SURE for data discovery, searching and filtering cohorts, and exporting data to begin analysis. I'm excited to meet you all!
Greetings! My name is Dave and I am the representative for the BioData Catalyst powered by Seven Bridges platform. I have been with the Seven Bridges company for 3.5 years and enjoy helping researchers get started using the cloud to supercharge their analysis.
I will be leading the interactive Genome Wide Association Study (GWAS) tutorial on the second day. To participate you will need to create a Seven Bridges account beforehand. Please reach out if you need any help with account creation or have any concerns.
Hi! My name is Omri Johnson. I am a second year Master of Public Health student at Howard University and current Pathways intern at the NHLBI. I'm interested in learning more about the capabilities of BioData Catalyst and how it can be used to facilitate exploration of the research interests of everyone attending!
Hii, my name is Angélica Rosado-Quinones, and I am a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate at the University of Puerto Rico - Medical Sciences Campus. As I plan to graduate in May 2023, I am interested in expanding my skillset in Bioinformatics, Data Science, and database management in infectious disease research. I was delighted to receive an email from BioData Catalyst to explore the increasing potential of this tool! I hope everyone will soon enjoy Thanksgiving break!
Hi, my name is John Kwagyan. I am a professor and researcher at Howard University and director of the Virtual Applied Data Science Training Program (VADSTI).
My research interests include mathematical and statistical modeling of correlated data, data science, clinical trials, predictive models, survival models, statistical genetics, and pharmacokinetic & pharmacodynamics, with application and focus on clinical outcomes of diseases common to minority populations.
I am interested in learning more about the tools, applications, and workflows that the BioData Catalyst cloud-based ecosystem provides to support research activities.
Hi, my name is Aarthi Krishnan. I am a representative of BioData Catalyst powered by Seven Bridges platform. I will be assisting Dave Roberson during the GWAS training session. Looking forward to answering any questions!
